daughter, something I dread! As she was looking for her regular shoes, I spotted
this plastic funky looking shoes hanging on a rack. I was immediately drawn to
them because they reminded me of my hippy days. I tried them on and exploded
with joy! My daughter and the store clerk were tickled to see me hopping around
the store, expressing how amazingly comfortable they were. I couldn't believe it
! Being a teacher and always on my feet, I desperately needed comfort. Well, I
bought myself two pairs. Back at home, my sister, niece and daughter-in-law made
fun of me because they thought they looked like garden shoes. I didn't care. I
wore them with pride, comfort and joy! Well, guess what? Now they have a pair,
so does my grand daughter, her teacher and my best friend! I feel like a trend
setter. Love the colors and I will be buying myself more pairs."
And even more reasons 1.) Really soft, super
comfortable, molds to your feet
My father-in-law is an avid
sport-fisherman and recently acquired a boat that he keeps on the coast of
Louisiana. He boasted about his Crocs, and of course, the whole family had to
get a pair (or 2). My husband has a pair, I have a pair, my father-in-law's
fiancé has a pair, and my father-in-law has 3! (maybe more!) We went fishing
this past weekend, and they were the most wonderful shoes to wear on the boat!
We could dip them in the water when they got dirty, they didn't fly off while we
were speeding in the boat, and most importantly we didn't slip while on the
boat! I also noticed that all the fishing guides in the little town we were in
were wearing them! Now, I am a believer in the these shoes! I wear them
everywhere, shopping, working in the yard and even to work! Please, keep on
making them, and I'll keep buying them!
The Croc shoes phenomenon; a
real revolution in outdoor footwear. It all started in 2002 when a Colorado
company devised comfortable shoes that were slip-resistant and didn't leave
marks. Although these were originally intended to be used for boating
enthusiasts, they have come to be widely sought-after as an all-purpose shoe,
especially suited for wearing around water. About a year ago while on a road trip in Missouri I
happened upon some rather curious shoes. Crocs Shoes! I knew I had found
something special the moment I spotted them what must have been 30 feet away.
They are made of a closed cell resin that feels like the stuff between the sole
and insole of running shoes. It softens a little when it gets warm and loosely
molds to your feet. I was hooked the moment I tried them on. It feels kind of
like walking around on marshmallows. They come in a dozen colors, which seems to
be one of the reasons people like them. (Mine are an eye catching orange.)
